The Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD) is a state-of-the art German engineered sensor and is the most common and preferred solution for helium measurement providing fast and accurate gas analysis over the range 0-10% and 0%-100% He in simple binary gas systems where the helium is mixed with another gas or air. It is particularly suitable for aggressive industrial applications as long as the sample gas is filtered for dust and particles and is non-condensing. The sensor has a 50°C heated sensor chamber to overcome drift caused by ambient temperature changes.
